HYDE PARK — Michaels and Marshalls will join Whole Foods in a Jeanne Gang-designed development currently under construction in Hyde Park.

The developer of City Hyde Park, 1525 E. Hyde Park Blvd., announced Wednesday that the two retailers had signed leases for space in the development.

Peter Cassel, director of community development for the Silliman Group, the development arm of MAC properties, declined to give details of how big either store would be or where they would be located within the 110,000 square feet of retail space.

Representatives from Michaels and Marshalls were not immediately available to detail their plans for stores in the 15-story development.

Whole Foods was the first to sign on to the project, committing to a 30,000-square-foot store on the Lake Park Avenue side of the building, scheduled to open in the late summer or early fall.

The $114 million project will also house 180 rental apartments on the top 11 stories.

The developer is still seeking additional retailers for the development.
