GLADSTONE PARK — A masquerade-themed event will raise money for Hitch Elementary School, organizers said.

The fifth annual Main Event fundraiser is set for 6-11 p.m. Friday at the Lido Banquet Hall, 5504 N. Milwaukee Ave. Tickets at the door are $50, and guests are asked to wear masks.

The event will feature drinks, dinner, music, silent auctions and a raffle for a $1,500 pot, organizers said.

Last year, the event raised $10,000 for classroom supplies, sports uniforms and after-school programs, organizers said.

Organizers said they hope to raise $20,000 for new iPads, laptops and projectors for the Gladstone Park school, 5625 N. McVicker Ave.
