CHICAGO — One man is dead after being shot while sitting in his car in Park Manor Saturday night, police said.
A 22-year-old man was in his vehicle on the 400 block of East 72nd Street around 8:40 p.m. when two men approached on foot, said Chicago Police spokeswoman Officer Janel Sedevic. One fired several shots, striking him in the side.
He was pronounced dead at Jackson Park Hospital at 9:27 p.m., Sedevic said.
Police are investigating the incident.
The Chicago Tribune reported that 11 others were wounded in shootings overnight.
