CHICAGO — A 27-year-old man was hospitalized after being shot in the chest in South Loop Saturday, police said.
Around 2:30 a.m., the man was sitting inside an SUV in the 2100 block of South Wabash Avenue when he heard shots and felt pain, said Officer Hector Alfaro, a Chicago police spokesman.
The man was shot in the left side of his chest and his friends drove him to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where his condition had stabilized, Alfaro said.
