Uptown Shooting Leaves Man in Serious Condition, Police Say

CHICAGO — A 27-year-old man was shot in Uptown Tuesday afternoon.

Around 2:45 p.m., the man was seated in the driver's seat of a car in the 4700 block of North Broadway when another car pulled alongside him and someone inside opened fire into his car. The man was struck in his chest, arm and leg, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The man was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center in serious condition, Estrada said.

No one is in custody for the shooting.
