CHICAGO — Authorities have identified the 36-year-old man who was fatally shot early Thursday in West Englewood.
Charles Gray, of the 2100 block of West 71st Place, was pronounced dead at 2:26 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
Around 2:05 a.m., Gray was arguing with another person near his home when the other person pulled out a gun and shot him multiple times, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.
He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Estrada said
The shooter was seen getting into a white car and speeding away, Estrada said.
No one is in custody, and police are investigating.
