Man Tries to Lure Child into SUV in Mount Greenwood, Police Say

MOUNT GREENWOOD — A man driving a black, four-door SUV tried to lure a child into his vehicle by asking for help finding his lost cat, police said.

The driver pulled his vehicle alongside the child at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday in the 10700 block of South Spaulding Avenue in Mount Greenwood and tried to lure the child into the vehicle, according to police. Instead, the child ran off, police said.

Police would not say if the victim was a boy or girl.

The man is described as white, ages 30-50 with black curly hair, bushy eyebrows and a mustache, police said.
