HYDE PARK — The Hyde Park Community Players will give a sneak peek of a novel still being written on Friday.

The theater group will stage a reading of Rosina Neginsky’s forthcoming novel “B for Battle M for Morte” at 8 p.m. Friday at Augustana Lutheran Church , 5500 S. Woodlawn Ave.

Novelist Neginsky, who also writes poetry and criticism, is an associate professor of interdisciplinary studies, comparative literature and art history at the University of Illinois at Springfield.

Tickets are $5.
