GRANT PARK — Three-day passes to this summer's Lollapalooza festival sold out quickly Tuesday morning, with some unlucky ticket-seekers crying foul over their bank's payment processing.
Those hoping to attend the annual festival in Grant Park took to Twitter by 11 a.m. to declare three-day passes sold out. The passes, listed for $250, went on sale at 10 a.m.
Many clients of Chase Bank also reported problems with the processing of their payments for the treasured tickets Tuesday. Many tweeters said the snafu occurred due to bogus Chase fraud protection alerts.
Thanks to @Chase for costing me @lollapalooza tickets by declining multiple cards/transactions #soyoucant

Chase released the following statement about the glitch:
"Due to a systems issue, some customers were unable to purchase Lollapalooza concert tickets today. We have since fixed the issue and apologize for the inconvenience. Customers should contact us if they have questions or concerns."
A Lollapalooza spokeswoman confirmed that three-day passes sold out within 45 minutes Tuesday, but did not address payment processing concerns.
Those who missed out on three-day passes Tuesday might have better luck Wednesday when single-day passes go on sale at 10 a.m. Lollapalooza will announce its lineup slightly earlier, at 6 a.m.
