PARK RIDGE — A three-bedroom, three-bath home in Park Ridge built by an apprentice of Frank Lloyd Wright is on the market for $995,000.

The 3,939-square-foot single-family home, located at 131 N. Dee Road, has a modern and unique exterior and interior. The building is made entirely from Fond du Lac stone from Fond du Lac, Wis., and the entire back of the home, which sits on a private beach and looks out on Park Lake, is made of glass for floor-to-ceiling clear views of the water.

The listing agent, Shirlee Ehlers with Coldwell Banker, said while there isn't a garage, there is unique-looking cave-like carport in the front of the house. Upon entering the home, guests are greeted by a two-story waterfall that descends from a stone wall into a small pool at the bottom of the waterfall.

A common theme in each room is curved walls and staircases — even the gas fireplaces (one on each floor) are curved to match.

Ehlers said the kitchen includes custom cabinetry and all appliances have been updated. Other neighborhood amenities include its school district (Maine South High School is nearby), easy access to the expressways (O'Hare Airport is 20 minutes away; downtown is a 20-mile drive) and private access to Park Lake.
