CHICAGO — Rowing classes for women diagnosed with breast cancer will be offered Friday in Bridgeport.

The Bridgeport Art Center, 1200 W. 35th St. and Recovery on Water (ROW) will team up to host the classes at 7 and 8 p.m. in Suite 3160 on the third floor of the center.

The goal of the Recovery on Water program is to increase exercise in people diagnosed with breast cancer and improve their quality of life.

In addition to the rowing classes, the center will host a beekeeping class on the lower level, conducted by Chicago beekeeper Rob Hicks, at 7 p.m.

Admission is free and doors open at 6 p.m.

The classes are part of the third Friday open studios events offered every month at galleries in and around Bridgeport.
