Bridgeport, Armour Square Robberies Lead to Police Warning

CHICAGO — Police issued a warning after robberies in Bridgeport and Armour Square.

In three incidents, two or three men approached the victims and demanded their property, police said in a statement.

The most recent robbery occurred Saturday at 6:30 a.m. in the 3900 block of South Halsted Street. The other robberies occurred March 5 at 11:40 p.m. in the 3200 block of South Union Avenue, and Feb. 21 at 3:08 p.m. in the 2100 block of South Canal Street, police said.

The robbers are described as two to three black men with dreadlocks or braids, 19 and 22 years old, between 5-foot-3 and 5-foot-10, and 140 to 160 pounds.

Their vehicle was described as a dark-colored, two-door Nissan Altima or Chevrolet Monte Carlo with temporary license plates.
