Motor Row Gallery Welcomes Pop-Up Art Exhibit 'Phenomena'

SOUTH LOOP — Motor Row Gallery is revving its engines to start up a monthlong pop-up art exhibit under the theme "Phenomena."

The eclectic mix of local artists will be "focusing on extraordinary occurrences in theme and process from the artist's conception to the viewer's perception," according to the gallery, located at 2345 S. Michigan Ave.

It includes the work of Melanie Adcock, Christine Forni, Angela Komperda, K.A. Letts, Kennedy Shenberg, Bryan Sperry, Pamela Staker and Suzanne Weaver, among others.

The opening reception is from 5 - 9 p.m. Friday. Motor Row Brewery will do a beer tasting, with live music by Arclight and Rebecca F.

The opening reception weekend continues from 3 - 7 p.m. Saturday and noon - 5 p.m. Sunday.

Otherwise, the gallery's usual hours are 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Monday though Saturday.

The exhibit closes April 12.
