ROGERS PARK — Bullhead Cantina, the taco eatery and bar, has closed for good, owner Paco Ruiz said.

Ruiz, who will continue to operate Bullhead's Humboldt Park location, confirmed Friday morning there just wasn't enough business to stay open at 1406 W. Morse Ave.

"The rent was killing me," he said.

Ruiz said he sold the restaurant's assets but could not reveal the new owners. He said to "stay tuned" for a new concept.

Ruiz said the Rogers Park location he opened about a year ago was significantly bigger than the original location — 300 seats compared to just 70.

He said he plans to make a return to Rogers Park, but in a smaller space.

"We'll start again and hopefully be back with something better in Rogers Park," he said.
