MOUNT GREENWOOD — A 34-year-old South Chicago man is facing an assault charge after threatening an elementary school basketball coach during a game on Sunday, police said.
Michael Davis was arrested at 4:47 p.m. on Sunday in suburban Evergreen Park after threatening the coach of Clissold Elementary School in Morgan Park, police said.
An off-duty police officer was coaching the team in a game at Marist High School at 4200 W. 115th St. in Mount Greenwood when Davis approached the team's bench, according to a police report.
"I'm from the streets," Davis said, according to the report. "I'm gonna find out where you live and beat your a--."
Davis was arrested after the game and charged with aggravated assault of a sports official. He is due in court on April 20.
