NORTH CENTER — St. Patrick's Day comes once a year, except at Mrs. Murphy & Sons Irish Bistro.

The annual celebration of all things Irish that kicked off Sunday at the North Center restaurant runs through St. Patrick's Day.

Each day through March 17 brings something different — music sessions, food tastings, beer and whiskey samplings, storytelling and more.

Among the highlights: Performances by singer Kathleen Keane, who held the No. 1 spot on Billboard's World Music chart for more than a month, and pipe and fiddle players Piob Agus Fidil.

A special 17 Days menu proves there's more to Irish cooking than corned beef and cabbage. Dishes include pork belly glazed with Irish honey and turf-smoked organic Irish salmon.

The complete schedule of events can be found online.
