HYDE PARK — Chicagoans will have at least three more chances to hear out the city's mayoral candidates before April's runoff election.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Cook County Commissioner Jesus "Chuy" Garcia have agreed to three debates, the first of which will be hosted by NBC5 and Telemundo on March 16.

A second debate March 31 will be moderated by "Chicago Tonight" Host Phil Ponce at WTTW-Channel 11 Studios, 5400 N. St. Louis Ave. A third debate to be hosted by FOX32 has yet to be scheduled.

The mayoral race is headed to a runoff election April 7 after Emanuel failed to garner more than 50 percent of the popular vote Tuesday. Emanuel maintains the lead in the race according to early polls released this week.
