CHICAGO — Chicago Police are setting up a DUI checkpoint in Back of the Yards this weekend.

Police will stop cars and check for drunken drivers and other violations starting at 7 p.m. Friday at 53rd Street and Ashland Avenue, police said. The operation will end at 3 a.m. Saturday.

During a previous DUI crackdown in the Deering Police District on Dec. 26-27, police found a total of 35 violations, including six people arrested for drunken driving, police said.
