David Moore Wins 17th Ward Election

CHICAGO — David Moore won the open 17th Ward aldermanic seat Tuesday.

The 17th Ward includes parts of Marquette Park, Auburn Gresham, Englewood, West Englewood and West Chatham. There was no incumbent since Ald. Latasha Thomas decided to not run again.

Moore got 53.2 percent of the vote. His opponent Glenda Franklin got 36.1 percent, and Bishop James E. Dukes got 10.7 percent.
