UPTOWN — A man was shot Monday evening not from from where a known P-Stone gang member was shot to death a couple days earlier, police said.

Ald. James Cappleman (46th) was at the scene of the shooting in the 4700 block of North Beacon Avenue around 4:30 p.m., Cappleman's chief of staff Tressa Feher confirmed. Pictures show him talking to residents.

Saturday's shooting took place near 1300 W. Leland Ave.

Feher said there are "suspicions" that the two shootings are related, but it has not been confirmed yet. She also said there is no confirmation that the shooting was gang-related.

"No arrests that we know of," Feher added via text message.

Monday's shooting happened around 4:30 p.m.

Someone shot a 26-year-old in the 4700 block of North Beacon Avenue, according to Officer Veejay Zala, a Chicago police spokesman.
