Near South Little League Registration Opens Saturday

Near South Little League

CHICAGO — Registration for Near South Little League Baseball will begin this weekend.

Parents can register in person at Old St. Mary's Church, 1500 S. Michigan Ave. from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, according to the league's website.

The fee to register is $100 before March 14 and $175 after. Registration closes March 27.

The league is for boys and girls ages 4 and up, and all practices are held at Dunbar Park, at 300 E. 31st Street, according to its website.

The near South Little League was founded in 2008 by Jim Navarre, a South Loop attorney and father of three boys, and by its second year had grown to nearly 300 participants, according to its website.
