ANDERSONVILLE — Two new bars with familiar names are slated to open in Andersonville this summer.
Replay Andersonville will open at 5368 N. Clark St. and Elixir Lounge Andersonville will call 1507 W. Balmoral Ave. home, according to a press release.
LKH MGMT, the management team that runs beloved Boystown bars Replay, 3439 N. Halsted St., and Elixir Lounge, 3452 N. Halsted St., among others, decided to expand into Andersonville because it's "one of the best neighborhoods in the nation," according to Mark Liberson, the group's president.
Another reason, he said, is many of the bargoers who frequent the Lakeview bars have moved to Andersonville. In fact, they've had Andersonville "in their sights for more than two years," Sean Kotwa, the group's managing partner, said in a release.
Unlike Lakeview's outpost, Replay Andersonville will serve food, including lunch and dinner all week as well as weekend brunch. But it'll also be similar to the Lakeview bar, with more than 24 craft beers on tap and iconic vintage video games, including a pinball machine.
As for Elixir Lounge Andersonville, expect "creative and classic" cocktails, which the Lakeview bar is known for. The new bar will also serve small plates.
Both bars will have outdoor spaces.
