CHICAGO — A 20-year-old man was shot in Austin Tuesday night.
Around 7 p.m., the man was walking in the 200 block of South Lotus Avenue when a man drove up, got out of a car and began firing before driving away, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.
Officers found the 22-year-old in the 5500 block of West Jackson Boulevard. He was struck in his leg and taken to Loretto Hospital, where he was listed in good condition, Sedevic said.
The man is a documented gang member. No one is in custody for the shooting, Sedevic said.
