CHICAGO — Two people were wounded in shootings overnight on the South Side.

Around 12:20 a.m., a 39-year-old man was shot in his upper back while walking in the 8800 block of South Colfax Avenue, said Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man was taken to Northwestern Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, Pacheco said.

More information about the shooting was not available.

Around 8:15 p.m., a 16-year-old boy was approached by three men while walking in the 13100 block of South St. Lawrence on the Far South Side, Pacheco said.

An argument began and one of the men shot the teen in his left leg. He was taken to an area hospital, where his condition was also stabilized, Pacheco said.

No one is in custody for either of the shootings.
