Museum of Contemporary Art to Host Neighborhood Stories

STREETERVILLE — Local authors and poets will gather Tuesday to present "Welcome to the Neighborhood," a collection of readings based on the disparate communities that make up the city.

The event will begin at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Museum of Contemporary Art, 220 E. Chicago Ave. Admission is free to all Illinois residents.

Accompanied by illustrations from local artists, presenters include:

  • Essayist Megan Stielstra on Wicker Park
  • Hip hop artist Psalm One on Englewood
  • Author and editor Rachel Hyman on Hyde Park

The event is curated by local literary projects Anthology of Chicago and 1,001 Chicago Afternoons
