PRINTERS ROW — Jones College Prep will play host to a wide array of local cultural and scientific institutions Saturday in the second annual Destination: Chicago — Winter Break.

From 11 a.m.-4 p.m., Chicagoans from ages 4 to 24 can get information on entities ranging from Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, the Chicago Architecture Foundation and the School of the Art Institute to the Chicago Botanic Garden, the Argonne National Laboratory and the Notebaert Science Museum.

Chicago City of Learning and the Hive Chicago Learning Network are sponsoring the event at the high school, 700 S. State St.

"We’re very excited about the wide range of activities available at Destination: Chicago, especially since it is representative of what's available to Chicago youth year-round," said Nichole Pinkard of the Digital Youth Network at DePaul University. "Chicago City of Learning is all about connecting young people to what excites them now and could translate into a career in the future."

Others taking part include Best Buy's Geek Squad Academy, the Adler Planetarium, the Chicago Academy of Sciences, the Anti-Cruelty Society, Mikva Challenge and the Little Black Pearl Workshop.

Those interested are asked to RSVP Monday.
