Washington Park Shooting Hospitalizes Man Sunday

CHICAGO — A 36-year-old man was shot early Sunday in Washington Park.

Around 5:15 a.m., the man was walking outside in the 5600 block of South Wabash Avenue when he was shot in his foot, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man was taken to St. Bernard Hospital, where his condition stabilized, Sedevic said. Police did not know his initial condition.

No one is in custody for the shooting, Sedevic said.
