CHICAGO — Police said a 23-year-old man was fatally shot Saturday afternoon in Lawndale.
Police had few details of the shooting, which took place in the 1200 block of South Pulaski Road about 12:45 p.m.
The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he later died. Police did not know where on his body he was shot.
He was identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office as Cornelius Hunter, of the 1700 block of North Luna Avenue. The Medical Examiner's Office said Hunter was 24. He was pronounced dead on the scene at 1:26 p.m., the Medical Examiner's Office said.
