GOLD COAST — Now a Wyoming resident, newlywed philanthropist Ann Lurie is trying harder to shed her extravagant Gold Coast homes.
Lurie, whose name adorns the Ann & Robert Lurie H. Children's Hospital of Chicago in Streeterville, re-listed her 18,590-square-foot Gold Coast mansion for $11 million Monday. She also re-listed a three-bedroom condominium on Lake Shore Drive for $5.25 million, according to multiple listing service Midwest Real Estate Data LLC.
Those are hefty cuts off the $18.75 million and nearly $6-million listing prices she asked when she put the originally the homes on the market in 2013. Lurie, a widow of prolific real estate investor Robert Lurie who remarried late last year, never occupied the Lake Shore Drive condo.
Lurie told Crain's Chicago Business last year she was moving to Jackson Hole, Wyo.
