BRONZEVILLE — Bronzeville's lone girls-only public high school holds an open house from 1-3 p.m. Jan. 25 for prospective students and their families ahead of next fall's enrollment.

Young Women's Leadership Charter School, 2641 S. Calumet Ave., boasts a "strong college-prep academic focus, small-school environment and our overall programming that develops and transforms girls into young women leaders." Its curriculum emphasizes math, science and technology.

The school says its entire senior class graduated last year, and it claims the same "nearly every year."

The school's enrollment is 350, drawn from across the city, with applications due Feb. 2 and a lottery set for Feb. 5.

For additional details, see the school's website at the link above or send email to info@ywlcs.org.
