CHICAGO — At least three people were wounded in shootings on the South and West sides since Saturday evening.

Most recently, someone shot a man in the 7100 block of South Damen Avenue in West Englewood around 3:30 a.m., according to Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago police spokeswoman.

The man, who police say is in his 20s, walked into Holy Cross Hospital with a gunshot wound in his arm, Pacheco said.

Detectives are conducting an investigation, she added.

Just before midnight, a man, 56, was shot in Bronzeville.

He was walking on the sidewalk in the 4700 block of South Michigan Avenue when a man came up to him and announced a robbery, Pacheco said.

As the 56-year-old man tried to run away, the robber opened fire, striking him in his left thigh.

He is in stable condition after being taken to Stroger Hospital.

Earlier, around 7:35 p.m. Saturday, someone shot a 25-year-old in the 1600 block of South Komensky Avenue on the West Side, Pacheco said.

He suffered from a gunshot wound in his thigh, and was "uncooperative" was police, she said.

He is in stable condition after self-transporting to South Suburban Hospital.
