CHICAGO — Three people were shot Saturday afternoon in the South Side's Wrightwood neighborhood, police said.
The shooting happened about 2:50 p.m. in the 8200 block of South Campbell Avenue. The three victims were in a vehicle when another vehicle pulled up, someone got out and fired shots, police said.
A 19-year-old woman was shot in the thigh, and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in serious condition, said Officer Thomas Sweeney, a police spokesman.
Two 19-year-old men were shot, as well. One was shot in the side, and the other in the hand, Sweeney said. Police did not know their conditions or if they were taken to area hospitals.
