CHICAGO — One man is dead and two others wounded, including a 17-year-old boy, in separate shootings Wednesday, police said.

A 33-year-old man was shot and killed in Avalon Park Wednesday afternoon.

In the most recently reported, non-fatal shooting, a 17-year-old boy was shot in Auburn Gresham, said Officer Veejay Zala, a Chicago police spokesman.

At 2 p.m., the boy was in the 8600 block of South Racine Avenue when he was shot in his leg, Zala said.

No other information was immediately available.

At 10:20 a.m. in Auburn Gresham, a 21-year-old woman was in the 8800 block of South Wood Street when she was shot in her hand. She was treated at Little Company of Mary Hospital, Zala said.
