
CHICAGO — Two people were wounded in shootings on the South Side Tuesday, including a 20-year-old man in Chatham.
Around 8:15 p.m., the 20-year-old was a passenger in a car in the 7500 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue when a dark-colored SUV pulled up and someone inside opened fire, sad Officer Ron Gaines, a Chicago Police spokesman.
The man, a documented gang member, was taken to Jackson Park Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition after being shot in his leg, Gaines said.
Around 3 p.m., a 15-year-old boy was shot by an unknown man while walking in the 9000 block of South Ada Street, Gaines said.
He was struck in his back and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition, Gaines said.
No one is in custody for either of the shootings, Gaines said.
