CHICAGO — Police are warning residents after several armed robberies in Back of the Yards this month.
In the robberies, a group of two to three males approach people who are alone, display a handgun and demand property.
The incidents occurred in the:
• 5200 block of South Justine Street on Dec. 15 at about 6:10 p.m.;
• 5200 block of South Laflin Street on Dec. 18 at about 4:30 p.m.;
• 5200 block of South Ashland Avenue on Dec. 24 at about 12:20 a.m.
The suspects are described as black males, between 16 and 30, 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-11, 140 to 210 pounds, of medium complexion, wearing dreadlocks.
