Men Rob, Pepper Spray Victims in Gresham, Police Say

CHICAGO — Police say robbers in Gresham pepper sprayed their victims before taking their property.

In two recent robberies, which took place Dec. 15 on 87th Street between Stewart Avenue and Halsted Street, victims were approached by two males wearing ski masks. They demanded property from the victims, then sprayed them in the face with pepper spray or mace before taking their property.

The robberies took place at 12:40 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., police said.

Police described the robbers as black males about 20 years old, 6-feet tall, 175 to 200 pounds, wearing ski masks.
