CHICAGO — A child who was being observed for possible Ebola-like symptoms has been released from the University of Chicago Medical Center, hospital officials said Saturday.
The child was admitted and put under quarantine after showing signs of a fever at O'Hare International Airport Friday.
On Saturday, the child was released after Illinois Department of Public Health officials confirmed the child did not have Ebola.
The University of Chicago Medical Center is one of the Ebola Treatment facilities identified by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
