CHICAGO — A 22-year-old man was shot while riding in a car Wednesday night in Irving Park.

Around 10:20 p.m., the 22-year-old was sitting in the front passenger seat of an SUV in the 4000 block of West Addison Street when a man walked up to the car and opened fire, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man was driven to the Albany Park District police station, where an ambulance was called. He was then transferred to Illinois Masonic Medical Center in stable condition after being shot in his right thigh, Sedevic said.

No one is in custody for the shooting.
