CHICAGO — A 35-year-old man was shot to death early Wednesday in Little Italy.
Around 1:15 a.m. the man was walking on the sidewalk in the 1200 block of South Western Avenue when a man hopped out of a black SUV and opened fire, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police Department spokeswoman.
The man was taken to Stroger Hospital after being shot in the lower portion of his abdomen. He was later pronounced dead, Sedevic said.
No one is in custody for the shooting.
