HYDE PARK — Rockefeller Chapel will host 2½ hours of didgeridoo music on Sunday to celebrate the winter solstice.

The Chicago Didjeridu Chorus will perform at 4 p.m. at the chapel at 5850 S. Woodlawn Ave. on the University of Chicago campus as part of the International Didjeridu Meditation.

The ensemble will play the traditional Australian wind instrument, gongs, bells and drums until 6:30 p.m. as part of 24 hours of solstice performances around the world that begin in Australia at sunset.

The event is free and open to the public.
