NORWOOD PARK — The Taft High School choir will will bring holiday cheer to businesses throughout the Far Northwest Side Thursday evening by singing carols, Principal Mark Grishaber said.

The choir is scheduled to appear at Mariano's Fresh Market, 5353 N. Elston Ave.; Jewel, 7342 W. Foster Ave., police and fire stations, Grishaber said.

The choir will also make some surprise appearances, Grishaber said.

The Taft choir has performed throughout Chicago during December, most recently appearing at the ceremony Dec. 6 to welcome the arrival of the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Mackinaw at Navy Pier with hundreds of Christmas trees on board to be donated to families in need.

The choir is also scheduled to perform Friday at the Norwood Park tree lighting ceremony.
