CHICAGO — Burglars are breaking into apartments in West Town and the Near West Side, police said.
Police identified three recent incidents in a community alert. They say burglars make their way into apartments during various hours of the day and steal property.
The incidents occurred in the:
• 2300 block of West Warren Boulevard on Dec. 2 during the daytime/evening hours;
• 2100 block of West Washington Boulevard overnight on Dec. 4;
• 2200 block of West Maypole Avenue on Dec. 9 during the daytime hours.
Police said residents should keep the perimeters of their homes well lit and keep doors and windows secure.
