CHICAGO— A man was injured after being shot in East Garfield Park Saturday evening, police said.
At 7:45 p.m., a 31-year-old man was at a gas station in the 700 block of North Kedzie Avenue when a vehicle drove up and someone inside opened fire, said Officer Amina Greer, a Chicago police spokeswoman.
The man drove himself to Norwegian-American Hospital with a gunshot wound to the buttocks, Greer said.
Police said the victim is a documented gang member.
No one is in custody.
