CHICAGO — Investigators are on the scene at an upscale Loop men's clothing store that was burglarized early Thursday, police said.
Around 2:42 a.m., two men used a hammer to break a glass revolving door and enter the Paul Stuart store at 208 S. LaSalle St., said Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police Department spokeswoman.
The men drove away in a dark-colored van, and it is unclear if anything was stolen, Pacheco said.
This is the second time in months the store has been burglarized. On Oct. 15 thieves used a stone to break the revolving door and stole more than $10,000 in merchandise.
The high-end store specializes in menswear and accessories: Its "Stuart's Choice" silk tie cost $197.50, a stag antler bottle opener is priced at $247, and the brand's White Mother of Pearl Travel Shaving Set fetches a cool $897.
No one is in custody for the break-ins.
