BRIDGEPORT — You could help create the world's next great rock star by entering the 312 Vintage Guitars giveaway.

The shop, which specializes in well-kept used instruments and equipment, is giving one lucky Facebook friend a free Epiphone SG electric guitar on "Small Business Saturday," which prioritizes local shopping on over the "Black Friday" binge.

Here's how it works: Simply click over the shop's Facebook contest page and follow the prompts — you'll have to enter your email address, too — to enter the contest. The drawing will be held on Saturday.

No purchase is necessary and the winner doesn't have to be in the store to claim the prize.

In addition to the giveaway, the store is having a "killer sale" on effect pedals, guitar straps and other used equipment, some discounted up to 50 percent, store owner Bob Dain said.

Dain, 28, said the contest is a way to get even more shoppers in the store, which debuted at 754 W. 35th St. in 2012.

"We were a little nervous at first but it's really really worked out. A lot of people really genuinely love the store. In general business has really taken off ... We've been extremely lucky. It's been fantastic. We've done a lot of walk-in business. We have a lot of regulars from all over, from Logan Square and Wicker Park and the Gold Coast," Dain said.

The store is open from noon-5 p.m. on Saturday.
