Brother Rice Hosts Winter Baseball Camp For Grade School Students

 Brother Rice High School will hold a winter baseball camp for grade school students on Dec. 6. Two sessions will be held in the school's gymnasium at 10001 S. Pulaski Road in Mount Greenwood. The first session is slated for 10-11:30 a.m. for students in fourth-sixth grades. The second session is set for noon-2 p.m. for students in seventh-eighth grades.

MOUNT GREENWOOD — Brother Rice High School will hold a winter baseball camp for grade school students on Dec. 6.

Two sessions will be held in the school's gymnasium at 10001 S. Pulaski Road in Mount Greenwood. The first session is slated for 10-11:30 a.m. for students in fourth-sixth grades. The second session is set for noon-2 p.m. for students in seventh-eighth grades.

The cost for either session is $10 per participant.  There is no need to pre-register as registration will take place on the day of the camp.

Brother Rice's winter baseball camp is being billed as a high-energy and informative session. Instruction will focus on the mental and physical aspects of baseball. Hitting, fielding, base running, bunting, speed training and core strength are all topics that will be covered.

Participants should wear baseball apparel and bring a glove, bat, and gym shoes. A Brother Rice T-shirt and refreshments will be provided.
