WICKER PARK — Craft Pizza is so happy chef Aaron Johnson's stolen bike was returned, they want to show their thanks to the cycling community in a cheesy way.

"As a small token of our gratitude to the biking community that Aaron is such a part of, we would like to offer any and all bikers who ride up to Craft this Saturday afternoon from noon to 2 p.m. free slices of pizza," Craft Pizza management said in an email to DNAinfo Chicago Friday.

"We were truly taken aback by all the outpouring of support and well-wishers ... especially to the good Samaritan who was able to get Aaron's bike returned to him."

Johnson's bike was stolen from behind the restaurant over the weekend, and the theft was caught by surveillance cameras that showed the same group steal from a tip jar while ordering pizza from the eatery at 1252 N. Damen Ave.

In the same footage, obtained by DNAinfo earlier this week, a woman tucks a stolen bill from the tip jar into a child's stroller, prompting Craft Pizza co-owner Steve Toth to dub the suspected thieves a "stroller gang."

Late Wednesday, the $700 bike was returned to the Shakespeare District police station by "a good Samaritan," according to Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

"Bikers — please come by and take us up on our offer, and keep Aaron busy!" Craft Pizza posted on Facebook.
