CHICAGO — A 61-year-old man who was shot outside a Chatham lounge Aug. 2 has died, authorities said.

James Watson, of the 7300 block of South Union Avenue, was shot alongside two other men, ages 32 and 39, near a club in the 700 block of East 83rd Street early on the morning of Aug. 2

Watson, who was shot in the abdomen, was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition had stabilized.

But he died of his injuries Tuesday at RML Hospital, authorities said. An autopsy determined he died of multiple gunshot wounds, and classified his death as a homicide.
