CHICAGO — Police will be on the lookout for drunken drivers in the Englewood Police District and in West Garfield Park this weekend.

Officers will be paying extra attention to drivers who show signs of being drunk from 7 p.m. Saturday to 3 a.m. Sunday in both the Englewood and Harrison police districts.

In the Harrison district, officers will be specifically stationed at 4525 W. Madison Ave. to conduct roadside checks.

In addition to drunken drivers, police will also be checking for other violations including driving without a license, driving without insurance and disobeying traffic laws.

Similar efforts in September led to a total of 146 tickets in the Jefferson Park District and 52 in the Shakespeare District.
