NORTH CENTER — What does Mayor Rahm Emanuel's proposed $8.9 billion 2015 budget mean for the 47th Ward?

Ald. Ameya Pawar (47th) will discuss the budget's details as well as gather feedback at a pair of town halls open to all residents.

The first meeting is scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday at the North Center Senior Satellite Center, 4040 N. Oakley Ave.

The second town hall will be held at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 5 at the Ravenswood United Church of Christ, 2050 W. Pensacola Ave.

Among the budget's line items: a $10 million increase in funds for pothole repair; $33 million to plant trees, remove graffiti and rodent control; and $2 million to double the number of bike patrol officers.
